"Changes in Fertility Rates of Schizophrenic Patients in New York State"
Marital and reproductive rates of two samples of schizophrenic patients, admitted to New York state hospitals in 1934-36 and in 1954-56, were compared for the purpose of assessing changes related to the introduction of new treatment and care. The reproductive trends are discussed in the context of their long- and short-range implications for population genetics, behavioral evolution, and community problems.
