THE 18TH ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL DEMING RESEARCH SEMINAR
27-28 February 2012
New York City
The 18th Annual International Deming Research Seminar will bring together people from around the world, and from a variety of specialties, to enhance and extend management thinking.
Dr. Deming's writings will be linked to the works of Steve Jobs, Nonaka, Shewhart, Senge, Greenleaf, and Revans. Some presentations will focus on the challenges ahead, the role of knowledge management, approaches for transformation, case studies on systemic change in health care, education, other services, manufacturing, and governments.
Four presenters will focus on education: Using Deming's ideas as a skeleton on which to build an educational system, today's Executive MBA viewed through Deming's theory, a middle-school mentor program based in Deming's thinking, and an after-school program whose success is based on helping students find intrinsic motivation.
Others will focus on trust, corporate social responsibility, the role of personal values, social media, the wellbeing of people, systems, processes as integrating factors, cultural intelligence, and metanoic profound knowledge.
Additional presenters will focus on the role of monopolies, improvement methods, an interdisciplinary approach to learning, teamwork, suggestion systems, human resources, removing fear ... over 40 presentations in all!
Hear first-hand some new findings related to the implementation of Deming's management ideas in the world. Participate in robust discussions and round tables with presidents of companies, executives, and researchers from five continents (we're still looking for a presenter in Antarctica), with many from the USA.
Co-sponsored by Fordham University, The W. Edwards Deming Institute, and The Deming Cooperative.
